Aiding with compliance to subsection 4.7 of the BRC Global Standard Food Safety Issue 8, DETEX x-ray and metal detectable plastic actuators and caps are now used on all aerosol cans and cartridges for FOODLUBE® food-grade lubricants. It means that, unlike traditional packaging, any FOODLUBE product caps and actuators can be identified using standard x-ray or metal detection equipment should they become loose in food and drink processing areas.
Building on its long-standing NSF registration for FOODLUBE and its ISO 21469 certification, both of which offer crucial safety assurances about lubricant formulation, ROCOL?s DETEX x-ray and metal detectable caps and actuators across its range offers further benefits to customers in meeting HACCP requirements.
The patent-pending DETEX caps are themselves manufactured from safe materials deemed acceptable by the US Food and Drug Administration for use in food processing plants.
