What is your company and how did your relationship with ROCOL begin?
Established in 1922, Petros Petropoulos is a leading distributor to the Greek market of a wide range of automotive products. These include cars, trucks, buses, outboard engines, agricultural equipment, batteries and lubricants.
The business is separated into autonomous units, of which the lubricant distribution is one. With a dedicated team of 16 people, we distributed around 8,000,000 litres of lubricants in 2021.
Our aim has always been to supply a complete range of lubricants to the market. This includes speciality lubricants such as those used in the metalworking industry and food-grade lubricants. In 2016, we were looking to expand our offerings in those areas and ROCOL, being a well know manufacturer of lubricants in these areas, were a great fit for us as we share the same value-led approach.
How long have you worked with ROCOL and what attracted you to the company?
With its long history, professional approach towards distributors and experience, ROCOL stood out as a partner that we could rely on. On that basis, we applied to be the official distributor in Greece, a role we have had since 2017.
What are your favourite parts about working with ROCOL and why?
We appreciate that they are always there to support us, whether in technical or operational issues. They never give up trying to find solutions, for the optimum lubrication of various applications. Furthermore, they are flexible to examine customer-specific needs and even to consider the formulation of tailor-made products, to satisfy those needs.
What ROCOL products do you distribute and where do you sell them?
We mainly supply ROCOL food-grade lubricants and metal-working fluids. Among the most popular, we can highlight the food-grade greases, which are much appreciated by the users, for their long-lasting protection and reliability. From the metal-working range, ULTRACUT products enjoy the biggest share, due to the combination of emulsion stability, cutting performance and low concentration in water.
Share one experience with ROCOL that made them better than any other competitor.
There have been many times where ROCOL has outperformed its competitors, both from a product quality and a customer support perspective. Members of the ROCOL team haven’t hesitated to visit even the smallest regional end-user, impressing them with their knowledge.
