What is your company and how did your relationship with ROCOL begin?
S&N is a privately owned company focused on technical wholesale. Founded in 1913, we represent dozens of international industrial brands and components. With our expertise, we put together the best solutions to ensure our customers’ success with a product portfolio that includes industrial lubricants, bearings, couplings, chains, belts, air bellows and locking components. We are also the leading manufacturer and supplier of ’S&N Cardan’ branded PTO shafts. S&N is the longest ROCOL distributor in Finland and always looking for problem solvers to add to our product portfolio.
How long have you worked with ROCOL and what attracted you to the company?
S&N became a distributor for ROCOL at the end of the 90s. ROCOL’s amazing quality, great technical knowledge and innovative products fit our product portfolio very well. I used ROCOL products for the first time in 2009 and found ROCOL Anti Seize to be much better than the next best alternative. When I joined the S&N team in 2016 I saw firsthand the strong cooperation between the business and ROCOL; it really is a partnership in the truest sense of the word.
What are your favourite parts about working with ROCOL and why?
ROCOL provides great support, both technical and commercial, for our team; ROCOL products are problem solvers and so are we. ROCOL products help us solve our customers’ problems and add value. S&N and ROCOL have similar targets and share the same way of thinking. It’s also great to see that ROCOL is following trends and developing their products to be safer for their users, as well as the environment.
Personally, I appreciate that if I have any questions I know who to contact and I get a fast reply. I also like that ROCOL shares their success stories, which you can easily find along with the marketing material on their website, which is generally really easy to use and very informative.
What ROCOL products do you use and where do you use them?
We have a very long history with ROCOL and are proud to supply a full range of ROCOL products to our large customer base. Our main focus is always to provide the best solutions to the Finnish market including industrial, metalworking, heavy industry, site safety and food categories. We also supply tailormade items, to accommodate some of our customer’s strict regulations. So it’s great to see that ROCOL has been very flexible and able to supply the best solution to our demanding customers.
Share one experience with ROCOL that made them better than any other competitor.
Market-leading technical knowledge combined with a very customer friendly approach springs to mind. It is also nice to see ROCOL appreciating authorized distributors, being a flexible partner and never distributing poor quality items that don’t solve problems.
ROCOL handles technical questions very well. They focus on the actual application and the conditions in which the product will be used. Some other suppliers only ask: ”what product does the customer use now?” But, in my opinion, you cannot offer the right product without knowing the actual application. If you are just comparing to the product that was used before, there is a big possibility that you won’t offer the most suitable product.
